Faith is necessary, and this faith coupled with trustfulness and reliance shall become for you the supreme assertion of your human thought and will.

I sayeth unto the listeners who have already resolved their inner conflicts with the authority of God ..

Faithfulness transmutes all rebelliousness. Thine mind shall find itself in many a predicament which challenges and conflicts, and it is faith, trust, and full reliance upon the One Deity that shall raise your viewpoint and elevate your perspective beyond the challenges at hand.

(1106.3) 101:2.4 There are two basic reasons for believing in a God who fosters human survival:

(1106.4) 101:2.5 1. Human experience, personal assurance, the somehow registered hope and trust initiated by the indwelling Thought Adjuster.

(1106.5) 101:2.6 2. The revelation of truth, whether by direct personal ministry of the Spirit of Truth, by the world bestowal of divine Sons, or through the revelations of the written word.

(1106.6) 101:2.7 Science ends its reason-search in the hypothesis of a First Cause. Religion does not stop in its flight of faith until it is sure of a God of salvation.

The discriminating study of science logically suggests the reality and existence of an Absolute.

Religion believes unreservedly in the existence and reality of a God who fosters personality survival.

What metaphysics fails utterly in doing, and what even philosophy fails partially in doing, revelation does; that is, affirms that this First Cause of science and religion’s God of salvation are one and the same Deity.

Thine Thoughts Shall Become Eternalized

Blessed are the purified ones who have cleansed their heart and mind and body from the vibratory emanations of ephemerality and dishonesty; for the Kingdom of Love shall be upon them as they have made themselves readily receptive to hear their own Godhood, to listen with humility, to obey the leadings of Reality, and to enter this fruit-bearing association with Us.

(1104.6) 101:1.3 The divine spirit makes contact with mortal man, not by feelings or emotions, but in the realm of the highest and most spiritualized thinking.

It is your thoughts, not your feelings, that lead you Godward.

The divine nature may be perceived only with the eyes of the mind. But the mind that really discerns God, hears the indwelling Adjuster, is the pure mind. “Without holiness no man may see the Lord.” All such inner and spiritual communion is termed spiritual insight.

Such religious experiences result from the impress made upon the mind of man by the combined operations of the Adjuster and the Spirit of Truth as they function amid and upon the ideas, ideals, insights, and spirit strivings of the evolving sons of God.

(1105.1) 101:1.4 Religion lives and prospers, then, not by sight and feeling, but rather by faith and insight.

It consists not in the discovery of new facts or in the finding of a unique experience, but rather in the discovery of new and spiritual meanings in facts already well known to mankind.

The highest religious experience is not dependent on prior acts of belief, tradition, and authority; neither is religion the offspring of sublime feelings and purely mystical emotions.

It is, rather, a profoundly deep and actual experience of spiritual communion with the spirit influences resident within the human mind, and as far as such an experience is definable in terms of psychology, it is simply the experience of experiencing the reality of believing in God as the reality of such a purely personal experience.

Thought Adjuster

Today as in My prior missions upon the earth ..

I have healed your sick, have caused your blind to see, your deaf to hear, your lane to walk, and cast out unclean energies from your fellows of the earth origins.

Now, do I counsel you to learn what I know, become more of what I am, raise thine hopes, advance thyselves in humility and honor, and in all ways .. give thyselves to this always present and available relationship communication and communion with the Paradise Father .. his Individualized and Indwelling  Adjuster Life in you.

Our religious spirituality hath a purpose and principle .. a priority and purity .. that you shall persevere through all ephemeralities and every transgression shall bow down to thine own command for knowing the Lord thy God and becoming alike unto him in thine own personhood.

(1104.3) 101:0.3 Religion, the conviction-faith of the personality, can always triumph over the superficially contradictory logic of despair born in the unbelieving material mind.

There really is a true and genuine inner voice, that “true light which lights every man who comes into the world.” And this spirit leading is distinct from the ethical prompting of human conscience.

The feeling of religious assurance is more than an emotional feeling. The assurance of religion transcends the reason of the mind, even the logic of philosophy.

Religion is faith, trust, and assurance.

1. True Religion

(1104.4) 101:1.1 True religion is not a system of philosophic belief which can be reasoned out and substantiated by natural proofs, neither is it a fantastic and mystic experience of indescribable feelings of ecstasy which can be enjoyed only by the romantic devotees of mysticism.

Religion is not the product of reason, but viewed from within, it is altogether reasonable.

Religion is not derived from the logic of human philosophy, but as a mortal experience it is altogether logical.

Religion is the experiencing of divinity in the consciousness of a moral being of evolutionary origin; it represents true experience with eternal realities in time, the realization of spiritual satisfactions while yet in the flesh.

(1104.5) 101:1.2 The Thought Adjuster has no special mechanism through which to gain self-expression; there is no mystic religious faculty for the reception or expression of religious emotions.

These experiences are made available through the naturally ordained mechanism of mortal mind.

And therein lies one explanation of the Adjuster’s difficulty in engaging in direct communication with the material mind of its constant indwelling.

Personhood Immortalizing

The Living Spirit of Life is in your midst .. and this Spirit Life is your destiny whereby the mechanisms of Eternity are accomplished; the prepersonal spirit of life becometh personality .. and thine personhood and personality become eternalized and spiritualized and immortalized as spirit life with God the Father's portion of himself.

(46.1) 3:1.9 The everywhere-present spirit of the Universal Father is coordinated with the function of the universal spirit presence of the Eternal Son and the everlasting divine potential of the Deity Absolute.

But neither the spiritual activity of the Eternal Son and his Paradise Sons nor the mind bestowals of the Infinite Spirit seem to exclude the direct action of the Thought Adjusters, the indwelling fragments of God, in the hearts of his creature children.

Purity of Revelation

Thou fellows of Salvington...

You are learning with Me to raise thine self to the Objectivity of God .. his Objective Law and Vision .. to bringeth thyselves into this universal alignment and harmony.

Whereas the vastness of the populace is buried under the tomb of it's subjectivity .. whilst believing that there is no such a thing .. an idea .. of a Higher Vision. Nor have the multitudes arrived at the inner impulse to seek and to discover; for the Mother's Adjutants have been unable to fully establish mortal mind.

I do sayeth unto those with the ears to hear and the eyes to see and the mind to perceive and understandingly crave .. there is very much so .. an Objectivity of Truth; hence, they who have woven themselves into their own subjective cocoon cannot arise into anything .. shall not penetrate the veils of their own succumbing tragedy .. they perceive there is nothing to arise into .. no Objective Vision nor Plan of Infinity.

And those of the Race that do sense that there is a Vision and a Plan created and designed by an Infinitely Personal Deity who hath given to each individual their own personal existence .. they knoweth not how to arrive at this Objective Plan and Vision.

In formulating the succeeding presentations having to do with the portrayal of the character of the Universal Father and the nature of his Paradise associates, together with an attempted description of the perfect central universe and the encircling seven superuniverses, we are to be guided by the mandate of the superuniverse rulers which directs that we shall, in all our efforts to reveal truth and co-ordinate essential knowledge, give preference to the highest existing human concepts pertaining to the subjects to be presented.

We may resort to pure revelation only when the concept of presentation has had no adequate previous expression by the human mind. (16.7) 0:12.11

You mortals who read this message may yourselves ascend to Paradise, attain the Trinity embrace, and in remote future ages be attached to the service of the Ancients of Days in one of the seven superuniverses, and sometime be assigned to enlarge the revelation of truth to some evolving inhabited planet, even as I am now functioning on Urantia. God's Will is that you each work towards the greater Perfection; that you become the Shepherd of Salvation.

His Will is Harmony, Order, Happiness .. and all those divinely endowed qualities which bring to the individual life a satisfying fulfillment and purpose .. an alignment with the Trinitarian values and Cardinal virtues of existence.

The Universal Will for all the Universe of universes is the mandate of the Trinity Parenthood of Life, so that all lives may become arisen and advanced along the great processional inwards.

My mission at this time hath many an initiative .. several intentions .. and highest of all is to conduct this understanding cooperation for each personality mind and emerging immortal soul to enter their eternal deliverance with the Father's Individualized Life in themselves.

Day by day, decision by decision, act by act .. ye shall attain to My Father's Kingdom of Glory and Generosity .. Purity, Purpose, Power of Love, Proximity to the Trinity Parenthood.

Each choice that you make .. whether to be loyal to Truth .. to reach for the Objectivity of God .. and to open thyselves to exchange thine mortal imperfections for the Perfection of the Divine Spirit .. these shall elevate you towards tbe everlasting aim of developing thine personhood.

48:0.1 (541.1) THE Gods cannot—at least they do not—transform a creature of gross animal nature into a perfected spirit by some mysterious act of creative magic.

When the Creators desire to produce perfect beings, they do so by direct and original creation, but they never undertake to convert animal-origin and material creatures into beings of perfection in a single step.

48:0.2 (541.2) The morontia life, extending as it does over the various stages of the local universe career, is the only possible approach whereby material mortals could attain the threshold of the spirit world.

What magic could death, the natural dissolution of the material body, hold that such a simple step should instantly transform the mortal and material mind into an immortal and perfected spirit? Such beliefs are but ignorant superstitions and pleasing fables.

48:0.3 (541.3) Always this morontia transition intervenes between the mortal estate and the subsequent spirit status of surviving human beings.

This intermediate state of universe progress differs markedly in the various local creations, but in intent and purpose they are all quite similar.

The arrangement of the mansion and higher morontia worlds in Nebadon is fairly typical of the morontia transition regimes in this part of Orvonton.

Religious Spirituality Glories all Goodness

I am come to show you the way to grow in reverence .. that ye shall develop yourself with the living circuits of Deity Absoluteness.

Verily verily shall you nurture your connection with true spiritual forces of all Love, Intelligence, and Power.

Ye shall learn My approach to maintain in your individual personhood this everpresent connection with the Trinitarian Parenthood .. and as ye art awakening in the heart and mind .. thine soul shall emerge .. thine vestibule of receptivity and recognition shall strengthen and endure.

(1095.5) 100:2.1 Spiritual development depends, first, on the maintenance of a living spiritual connection with true spiritual forces and, second, on the continuous bearing of spiritual fruit: yielding the ministry to one’s fellows of that which has been received from one’s spiritual benefactors.

Spiritual progress is predicated on intellectual recognition of spiritual poverty coupled with the self-consciousness of perfection-hunger, the desire to know God and be like him, the wholehearted purpose to do the will of the Father in heaven.

(1095.6) 100:2.2 Spiritual growth is first an awakening to needs, next a discernment of meanings, and then a discovery of values.

The evidence of true spiritual development consists in the exhibition of a human personality motivated by love, activated by unselfish ministry, and dominated by the wholehearted worship of the perfection ideals of divinity.

And this entire experience constitutes the reality of religion as contrasted with mere theological beliefs.

(1095.7) 100:2.3 Religion can progress to that level of experience whereon it becomes an enlightened and wise technique of spiritual reaction to the universe.

Such a glorified religion can function on three levels of human personality: the intellectual, the morontial, and the spiritual; upon the mind, in the evolving soul, and with the indwelling spirit.

(1096.1) 100:2.4 Spirituality becomes at once the indicator of one’s nearness to God and the measure of one’s usefulness to fellow beings. Spirituality enhances the ability to discover beauty in things, recognize truth in meanings, and discover goodness in values.

Spiritual development is determined by capacity therefor and is directly proportional to the elimination of the selfish qualities of love.

(2083.2) 195:9.6 Primitive man lived a life of superstitious bondage to religious fear.

Modern, civilized men dread the thought of falling under the dominance of strong religious convictions.

Thinking man has always feared to be held by a religion.

When a strong and moving religion threatens to dominate him, he invariably tries to rationalize, traditionalize, and institutionalize it, thereby hoping to gain control of it.

By such procedure, even a revealed religion becomes man-made and man-dominated.

Modern men and women of intelligence evade the religion of Jesus because of their fears of what it will do to them — and with them. And all such fears are well founded.

The religion of Jesus does, indeed, dominate and transform its believers, demanding that men dedicate their lives to seeking for a knowledge of the will of the Father in heaven and requiring that the energies of living be consecrated to the unselfish service of the brotherhood of man.

(2083.3) 195:9.7 Selfish men and women simply will not pay such a price for even the greatest spiritual treasure ever offered mortal man.

Only when man has become sufficiently disillusioned by the sorrowful disappointments attendant upon the foolish and deceptive pursuits of selfishness, and subsequent to the discovery of the barrenness of formalized religion, will he be disposed to turn wholeheartedly to the gospel of the kingdom, the religion of Jesus of Nazareth.

(2062.1) 194:2.12 In a way, mankind is subject to the double influence of the sevenfold appeal of the universe spirit influences.

The early evolutionary races of mortals are subject to the progressive contact of the seven adjutant mind-spirits of the local universe Mother Spirit.

As man progresses upward in the scale of intelligence and spiritual perception, there eventually come to hover over him and dwell within him the seven higher spirit influences.

And these seven spirits of the advancing worlds are:

(2062.5) 194:2.16 4. The spirit of the Universal Father and the Creator Son — the Spirit of Truth, generally regarded as the spirit of the Universe Son.

(2062.6) 194:2.17 5. The spirit of the Infinite Spirit and the Universe Mother Spirit — the Holy Spirit, generally regarded as the spirit of the Universe Spirit.

(2062.7) 194:2.18 6. The mind-spirit of the Universe Mother Spirit — the seven adjutant mind-spirits of the local universe.

The spirit of the Father, Sons, and Spirits — the new-name spirit of the ascending mortals of the realms after the fusion of the mortal spirit-born soul with the Paradise Thought Adjuster and after the subsequent attainment of the divinity and glorification of the status of the Paradise Corps of the Finality.

(2062.9) 194:2.20 And so did the bestowal of the Spirit of Truth bring to the world and its peoples the last of the spirit endowment designed to aid in the ascending search for God.

(2061.9) 194:2.11 Since the bestowal of the Spirit of Truth, man is subject to the teaching and guidance of a threefold spirit endowment: the spirit of the Father, the Thought Adjuster; the spirit of the Son, the Spirit of Truth; the spirit of the Spirit, the Holy Spirit.
